The WhatHouse? Show in Brighton will provide an opportunity for property buyers to meet a range of companies promoting everything from new-build homes to specialist retirement apartments.
Here’s a rundown of some of the highlights of the show and what the event has in store for first-time buyers, retirees, investors and those looking for an overseas home.
First-time buyers and upsizers can meet with, and view, recently launched new-build homes in the area with local estate agents Mishon Mackay and Spicerhaart. Mishon Mackay are launching ‘Verano’ at the property show, a collection of eight exclusive two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses with luxurious, highly specified interiors and an eco-conscious design in Hove. The development is built using sustainable design features including renewable energies. Other new homes are being showcased by Redrow Homes and Hyde New Homes.
For those interested in buying abroad there will be many overseas property companies exhibiting at the show, including Crystal Shore properties, a Spanish real estate agency who will be promoting a jaw-dropping scheme called ‘The World Marbella’, a stunning new apartment development on the Golden Mile that is unique in its architectonic design, use of new materials and the latest technologies in construction.
Feltrim will be launching their new project, ‘Tuscany Preserve’, in Orlando Florida. The development is a gated community of 500 homes located on Lake Marion, a 2,990-acre natural lake. The homes are designed with the Florida lifestyle in mind, with the community featuring a club house with gym, and prices start at just £90,000.
Orka Homes based in Fethiye, Turkey will be promoting their newly launched range of luxury living villas starting at just £400,000. The luxury properties have underground parking, gyms and a cinema. The ground level has a large open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen and other levels have four to five bedrooms, all en suite.
Also in Fethiye, Lycia Properties will be promoting a new off-plan development of apartments located just a short walk from the town centre with sea and marina views. ‘Marina Residence’ has been beautifully designed and offers spacious duplex one- to three-bedroom apartments from £75,000.
Taylor Wimpey España will be promoting a new apartment scheme called ‘Horizon Beach’ which is located on one of the last beach front plots on the Costa del Sol. It has direct access to the 2km-long La Galera beach, overlooking the Bay of Gibraltar. Prices start at €400,000 for a two-bedroom apartment.
Gascoignes International will also be at the show, presenting properties across many regions of the world and can assist customers in achieving their dream of owning an overseas home.
Leggett Immobilier, specialists in French properties will be giving advice in one of the seminars about buying in France and will be showcasing properties from all 59 departments. Joanna Leggett says: “British buyers are back with a bang in the French market. So far this year we have seen an increase in sales of 45% with our pipeline of offers accepted and contracts exchanged has doubled compared to last year. We’re seeing increasing demand across the country especially in the Languedoc Roussillon and Midi Pyrenees regions.”
Other companies will be promoting homes in Egypt, Portugal and Dubai.
For retirees there will be a few new schemes to view namely Wadswick Green, a new retirement village, set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside offering elegant and spacious contemporary apartments with onsite concierge-style services, gym, holistic spa, indoor pool, hair salon and 24-hour care and support.
Renaissance Villages, specialists in high-quality, age exclusive homes, will be promoting their ‘home of the month’, a cosy, two-storey cottage, with double aspect lounge at Durrants Village in Faygate, West Sussex.
Investors looking to start or expand their portfolio will find providers of student accommodation, while buy-to-let specialists might be interested in the US section featuring foreclosures, bank-owned stock and hotels.
Home improvers may be interested in meeting Susan Fisher, an interior designer of 20 years who will be at the show to talk about home design and to promote their new website which will feature design tips and advice from Susan, as well as furnishings at advantageous prices.
